The Los Angeles Community Eruv (LA Eruv) was built to enhance the experience of Shabbos in our community. Increased togetherness, better access to shul, additional options for the young and elderly – all are facilitated by an eruv. The LA ERUV boundary (southeast corner) begins at the corner of the 10 Freeway and Western Avenue, continues north on Western Avenue to Santa Monica Blvd., turns west on Santa Monica Blvd. to Caheuenga Blvd., and then continues north to the 101 Freeway.

The Los Angeles Eruv was constructed under the halachic and technical ingenuity of R’ Avrohom Teichman in collaboration with local rabbanim. It was designed with three defined walls to help address some of the reshus harabim concerns inherent in a city of this size.
