2017年3月26日 · 30mpg would be awesome. My 2015 5.3 6 speed auto Crew Cab has gotten a best of 23mpg interstate @ 80mph and I average 18mpg around town. Much better mpg than the previous 6.0 4l60e Crew Cab I had. Anywho 30mpg with an auto would be cool.

2023年2月2日 · Let’s say you spend an extra 3k on the LS conversion over conventional Chevy. If you average 15 MPG vs 22 MPG for the LS you would break even dollar wise after driving 40,000 miles @ $3.50 per gallon of gas. At the end of the day you have to decide which way to go. Personally I like simple.

2018年1月8日 · I have one of each and my LS4 get's better gas mileage on the highway. I get like 25 on the highway with the GXP on premium gasoline and like 20 with E85. I have an overkill tune and an ethanol content sensor so I can run the E85.

2003年3月31日 · The ls4 has more HP per liter than last years 4.6 liter DOHC toyota engine.....and I recall someone defending the power output of that engine.....and the 5.3 still gets as good if not better fuel economy than toyota's 4.6.

2017年1月1日 · I have a 1988 (square body) V2500 Suburban. Its got 60/14 swap, and a built TH400. 4.10 gearing and 35" tall tires. I get 14-15 mpg with it. If it had OD I'd probably get 16-17.

2011年11月2日 · MPG tends to go down as bore increases and the 5.7 can make 525-550 on the flywheel relatively easily. I'd go FAST/90 intake, untouched 243 casting heads (LS2/LS6) and a cam in the low 230s. A turbo 5.3 or 6.0 is another option but you better have a good tuner.
