Everything Kyoto - Reddit
I have been to famous spots like Fushimi Inari, Kiyomizu-dera, Kyoto station, Nishiki market, horseracing etc. So I’m looking for hidden gems in Kyoto. Preferably related to Japanese culture (I mean not like shopping centres). Events will also be good, but I searched in calendars and there’s no event in Kyoto. Thank you so much!
5 Days in KYOTO: What to do? What to skip? : r/Kyoto - Reddit
2020年12月31日 · 5 days in Kyoto or 5 days in Kansai? For Kyoto itself, I think 5 days is a reasonable amount of time, but if you're using it as a base for Kansai I would recommend at least a couple more for at least day trips to Nara, Osaka, and Himeji (possibly with Kobe). For Kyoto itself, I answered almost this exact question a couple of years ago in this ...
Best thing you ate in Kyoto? : r/JapanTravelTips - Reddit
We are at A Happy Pancake Kyoto and had the BEST soufflé pancakes for breakfast we have ever had. Waited 45 mins and don’t regret a second of it!! The buses to and from the further flung temples can all be gotten at Kyoto station. Many travelers arrive in Kyoto by train and depart by train and use Kyoto as a base for day trips to Nara and Osaka. Staying near Kyoto Station does seem to make the most sense to me.
Best location to stay in for first visit to Kyoto?

We easily walked to Gion several times. The Sanyo train station is a 5 minute walk, and it was fairly easy getting to/from Kyoto station.

Restaurant recommendations for Kyoto : r/japanlife - Reddit
2021年11月8日 · Heading to Kyoto this week. I’d like to go to a mid-scale nice Japanese cuisine spot one evening. Budget ¥10000~ person excluding drinks would be good. I have heard of some very fancy places, but can anyone recommend mid range places they really liked? Thank you!
Best store to buy retro video games in Kyoto. : r/Kyoto - Reddit
2022年7月22日 · Hello fellow Kyoto peeps. I've been slowly building my gaming collection and would love to know if you have any favorite or recommended stores in Kyoto. I only know of a few good stores which are Ojamakan, Bookoff (from time to time) and Surugaya.
r/Kyoto on Reddit: Where is the best place to get matcha to take …
2023年5月17日 · Uji is marginally cheaper but pretty much all the well-known brands will have a branch in Kyoto as well. If you’re just looking for some souvenir matcha for baking or lattes rather than whisking up yourself a cup, you won’t need to go out of your way for the ceremonial matcha.
