Apr 8, 2003 · KEF Q7 I agree with others that the KEF has a large soundstage, nicely three-dimentional. It has a nice and warm midrange. however, I felt that it lacked both in the highs and lows. What kept going through my mind as I was listening is something aking to a bell-curve: definitely good middle, but lacking on the lows and highs. NHT ST4

Nov 24, 2003 · However, I am now leaning towards the KEF Q series - and let me tell you if the fact that 'she likes the way they look' helps me in my case then so be it!! Toying betwen the Q7 and Q5 at the front - lounge is 14-15ft square with 9-10 foot ceilings and nice solid walls and floor .... just a little worried the Q7 may be overkill.

Feb 27, 2002 · In the New year I am going to buy a pair of floorstanding speaker up to £900. I have listened to B&W 603 and Kef Q7. I like the Kef's alot but was wondering if there is any other speakers I should be looking at. Or has any one got the Kef's Q7 and what do they think of them.

Feb 5, 2003 · Imaging with the Q7's is good, though I can't say spectacular (again, basisifor comparison is limited). I do hear some instruments coming from a position lateral to the speakers which is nice. My main uncertainty thus far is with bass performance. The response seems weak in the higher bass range. Now postioning in my case is probably not good.

Feb 7, 2005 · I need a fairly powerful set of speakers to fill that large an area. Today, I auditioned several speakers. Polk Monitor70, Infinity Beta50, several Klipcsh models, Pinnacle Black Diamond, Infinity IL60's, and last but not least, the KEF Q7. I really liked the KEF's.

Oct 17, 2024 · Klipsch doesn't really have any sort of direct side by side similarity between their powered models and, say, the RP line. Nothing really correlates there. KEF also doesn't have a direct Q comparison, but you are getting closer to the LS50. I do like the Klipsch 9 a lot, but it's a totally different sound than the powered KEF stuff.

Jul 22, 2005 · Kef Q's have caught my eye because not only do they look good but most of the reviews have given them the thumbs up for sound and build quality. I managed to get a demo of the older Q7's in a local hi-fi specialist today (much to my surprise as it's not easy to find a wide range of kit in small towns in Norway).
