2008年6月23日 · The 2004 K1200GT is a little more "civilized" than the K1200RS. It has a more upright seating position. The weather protection is better. The windshield is electric, it has a heated seat, and cruise control. Add a Stealth Backrest and you're good to go. If you don't care about the vintage, look at the K11 series.

I am looking at a 2003 k1200rs or a k1200gt. I have read that each has the potential for a transmission seal to leak leading to clutch failure. The gt has 73k miles but had the seal failure at 62k miles and had a new clutch and plate put in.

2012年6月21日 · I have the Clymers Manual for my 2004 K1200GT. I like it so far but frankly haven't had to do any complex wrenching on my K Bike. Just simple stuff like fluid changes, brake pads, etc. Came in real handy bleeding the ABS system. The manual covers a lot of models including the LT, so you have to jump around a bit in some sections.

I have a K1200R Sport and I've ridden the R1200R naked bike. Although not exactly the RT or GT but the engines are close enough to draw some comparisons.

Harbor Freight sells 3/8’s Drive Allen sockets but I’ve found the vertical-clearance to be to be too tight between the plug and frame to get this or any right angle ...

2012年7月31日 · I put on the K1200GT (03-05) risers and while they still have grooves, they are not adjustable like the K1200RS are. I would state you can find a set of K1200RS risers (I think from 02-04) and put them on the GT and then you could move them forward to your liking. They also will be lower than what the GT hand bars are.

2015年5月22日 · 2002 K1200 RS …ABS electric servo motor failure My bike just experienced that same fault and problem. If started from cold, the ABS works fine for the first 30 minutes, then the rear ABS fails and later the front fails.
