I'm looking for a 1.8 donor long block to build while I drove on my running motor. and 80% of the stuff I've stumbled across is advertised as JDM. I'm trying to hold out for a cheaper local alternative, but might wind up with a "JDM" engine/trans.

2024年3月19日 · I know the main differences between the USDM and EUDM are some of the accessories and sensors and most notable, the squaretop intake. After researching further I came across one single comment from a forum maybe 10 years ago saying that the JDM BPZ3 had 10.5:1 compression ratio and the EUDM possibly did as well but it was not confirmed.

2021年12月27日 · I bought NB JDM Miata a week ago, noticed straight away that there’s very little feedback on the wheel, and that it doesn’t return to center the last ~10 degrees on high speeds, and much more on low speeds. Things I tried: lifting the front wheels, steering doesn’t feel any stiff, and I can turn the steering wheel through the wheels.

Also go sit in a Miata first. The car is over-rated IMO because of a meme 'hurr durr the answer is always Miata'. If you don't fit in it or find the controls uncomfortable then no, it's not the answer. Personally I didn't like having the top of the windshield being nearly at eye level and thought the car was just slow overall.
