2023年6月12日 · Inarius wasn't necessarily cast out. He was given to Mephisto as a peace offering during the negotiation for Heaven and Hell to stay out of Sanctuary. Inarius imprisioned Lillith in a void space, and Mephisto was pissed. So heaven gave him Inarius as payment. In D4, we just assume Heaven wants nothing to do with him because of everything he's done.

Imperius may have recovered from his D3 wounds enough to bust Inarius out of Hell in order to get Inarius' help in destroying Sanctuary, humans, and Nephelem. We know Inarius wanted to destroy the Nephelem and clearly wants a chance to get back into the High Heavens.

Edit#2: Inarius’s main folly in the campaign is essentially pride or being prideful. Even Lilith comments on Inariuses pride for attributing prophecy to himself. Pride is a deadly sin that is attributed to Lucifer also.

Whoever came up with the walls of demented faces needs a raise. At first I wasn’t sure if the mouths were getting wider or if its just the shadows tricking my brain. Then as Inarius realizes no ones coming to save him, the faces get more deformed… that level of detail completely sold how claustrophobic and alone Inarius must’ve felt.

2023年6月8日 · Tyrael had the chance to regain his wings and get back to heaven on the council but refused and chose to protect Sanctuary instead. Inarius might be mortal now but he is a mortal angel not a mortal human. He escaped Hell once, can probably do it again. Only the future can tell but it is a possibility
