I downloaded a trial copy of SoftPerfect's RAM disk software. It looked pretty good until I rebooted and got a BSOD - that's all it took for me to uninstall it. I saw the tutorial for ImDisk and that looks promising.

I much would have preferred something lighter/smaller without DVD drive. Open startmenu, and there should be a "recently added" entry for "RamDisk Configuration" If not, just search the startmenu for Ramdisk Config, and open it.
