Ian Metzger, long gone aloof from the music industry, after the break-up of beloved indie-rock band Dear and the Headlights in 2011, has reappeared.

Ian Metzger, lead songwriter and vocalist, alongside drummer Mark Kulvinskas and multi-instrumentalist James Mulhern, all gained a wide-scale following with their critically acclaimed projects Dear and the Headlights and What Laura Says.

Joel Marquard (guitarist and keyboardist) and Ian Metzger (lead vocals and acoustic) started playing together in roughly 2005. Marquard convinced Metzger that they needed to start a band, but Ian was reluctant due to a somewhat negative experience with the Christian band called Justifide he co-founded in 1999.
