The song starts off more quiet, the first thing we hear is the high pitch voice's singing the lyrics. The rhythm picks up after. The lead singer doesn't sing in a high pitch voice. He sings normally. The song is definitely not slow-paced. I'd say the high pitch intro is somewhat similar sounding to Lonely by Akon.

Well, I make money from mine. Opera Singer here! Just own the natural pitch, I find a lot of men with high voices tend to modify down to sound more masculine. This actually can do irreparable damage to the pharynx and larynx, and make it fatiguing to talk particularly on the vocal folds. Just own being in the 15% of men whom are this type of voice!
