Holden HZ is a full-sized automobile which was produced in Australia between October 1977 and April 1980 by Holden in a variety of equipment levels and in several different body styles. It was also assembled in New Zealand .

Released in October 1977, the HZ GTS featured a four-headlight grille, front and rear spoilers, four-wheel disc brakes, sports wheels and a 4.2 litre V8 engine as standard equipment. The optional 5.0 litre V8 became standard in June 1978.

The GTS came standard as a 4.2 V8, but you could add the 5.0 litre, power steering, plaid cloth seats, limited slip diff, electric windows and air-conditioning. Rear disc brakes were standard, seven inch polycast wheels or spoked wire wheels were optional.
