For further enhancing the functionality of the mask, it is desirable for developing a smart product with an integration of digital technologies, including IoT, AI, mobile devices, and cloud ...

The smart customised protective masks has been developed that can detect air quality and real time record detecting data for fighting against COVID-19. Indeed, it can be adapted for occupational safety & health and smart healthcare applications.

The project includes designing a smart mask with the use of SolidWorks software and 3D printing technology. A mobile application that can receive data from the mask and communicate with the cloud server was developed.

2020年9月21日 · A team of undergraduate students at HKU has developed reusable face masks with novel air filters that can help reduce environmental pollution during the Covid-19 pandemic. With a nanofibrous structure prepared by electrospinning, the filters have higher particle removal efficiency compared to filter materials used for face masks in the market.
