They fedex'd me a replacement thermostatic valve "gratis". Total install time $15 minutes and things are like new.

Mar 1, 2018 · The images are from the Grohe installation booklet for this aging lav faucet. What I really need is a removal manual, I guess. Appears that, as with some other Grohe models, the caps atop the faucet valve-stems just pushed in - when new - but are presumably now retained by a decade or two of calcium and toothpaste residue.

Nov 29, 2023 · This is the Grohe "Chiara" discontinued for about 20 years...the two dime size caps pull off the plate to reveal a 4mm or 5mm screw. This will give you access to the head unit, then the 4 bolts cover that retains the cartridge. There are two different styles of cartridges so you need to remove, and take it to you local plumbing store.

Dec 16, 2023 · I ordered a new thermostatic cartridge, part # 47662000, and a set of non-return valves, part # 1411600M directly from Grohe. These new parts were installed, water turned back on, and unfortunately the problem remains. I have construction photos at rough-in and verified that the valve is fed with hot on left, and cold on right.

Nov 8, 2024 · that trim kit will not be available from Grohe. And, I don't recognize it as a Grohe product. Grohe never had a lever volume control and never had slotted screws. you may want to consider re-plating. Cartridge might reveal mfr better. Symmons used levers like that.

I told them I had removed the stop valves and the o-rings appeared worn. They are shipping me an o-ring kit at no charge.
