Worked well together overall, the only issues were gourami mating (the top 1/3 of the tank was a NO GO zone for the tetra), and when feeding as the gourami was the dominant one it got to the food first. 2011年5月19日 · However, I have a Moonlight Gourami which does swim in an exceptionally different way to all my other fish. By this, I mean that he is often eating food from the bottom of the tank or nibbling on plants whilst swimming completely vertical, with his head downwards and his tail to the surface.

2007年4月26日 · I think they do it periodically, so if it's an occasional thing, and there's still a good level of activity, swimming, and searching for food and breathing from the surface, it's fine. I would say if the gourami isn't sleeping, and it's doing for say, longer than a half hour, a water test/change might be in order.

2009年8月12日 · Angels and Gourami can be a bad combination as the Gourami have tendencies to nip the Angels fins. That said, stuff like rams, apistogramma species and jewels can be homed with Gourami in a decently sized tank - still comes down to the individual fish involved though. Broadly speaking its the fish that decides what it can go with, not us.

2005年7月1日 · My dwarf gourami has developed some open sore's. i have no idea what they could be. He is fine otherwise, not bloated, still eating well, swimming fine, but his poo is white and stringy too. Tank is the 57G as per signature. Stats are: 0/0/10ppm for ammonia/nitrite/nitrate. Ph has dropped recently from 7.0 to 6.4 - not sure why.

2007年1月28日 · you'll have the silver angel, blue gourami, gold rams, and ex/ a red type of tetra. the colours will balance and IMO look nice as the fish "pop" out so to speak. the gourami if put with cichlids might get beat up, and the angel will also if you go towards a full cichlid tank. just my opinion, but you can go another way.

2010年3月29日 · I break all the rules with my bettas. I have two males living peacefully together in with 27 females. There is also a large female angel and a large female moonlight gourami. There used to be a male lavender gourami and pearl gouramis in with them too,- but they died off over the last year. I'd had them many years so it was probably old age.

2009年3月1日 · Also in the tank are a female dwarf gourami, 5 harlequin rasboras, a mystery snail, and a "whisker" shrimp. Nitrite 0, nitrate 0, ammonia 0, pH 6.4, GH 0. This tank is cycled and has been running since Jan.

2006年5月13日 · Agreed. Danios are hyperactive and will stress out the smaller gouramis such as honeys and sparklers. I even had a dwarf gourami that was annoyed by my danios and rarely came out. Larger gouramis shouldn't have an issue though.

2004年10月14日 · Warning, do not use Melafix or Bettafix on any kind of labyrynth fish including gouramis. The active ingredient will irratate the labyrynth organ and can cause death.
