The GOC is divided into four major divisions, with most of their other subgroups falling under the jurisdiction of at least one division: GOC High Command - Similar to the SCP Foundation's Administrative Department, the High Command oversees and directs the rest of the Coalition.

The PSYCHE Division is the diplomacy arm of the United Nations Global Occult Coalition. They are responsible for GOC relations between other Groups of Interest, such as the SCP Foundation, PENTAGRAM, Unusual Incidents Unit, and Nexus governments.

The GOC's PHYSICS Division uses current and advanced technology to make their missions easier to accomplish. The technology used by the GOC is divided in several categories which include: Generation Zero: also referred as Current Gen or Gen0, which is normal technology that is available to all of the world.

Assessment Teams are given a three digit identifier, usually beginning with a "7", accompanied by unique callsign. Assessment Teams with their own distinctive unit insignia typically use a cartouche (oval) shape, emblazoned with their Team number. Assessment Teams do not usually have a unit motto or slogan.
