Dr. Gao Guo is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at UAB. He received his Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Free University of Berlin, Berlin, Germany. He started his first postdoctoral training in 2012 at the UCLA School of Dentistry.

Dr. Gao Guo is an assistant professor in the UAB Department of Neurosurgery. His research focuses on elucidating the role of receptor tyrosine kinase in the invasion and survival of glioblastoma (GBM). He is also interested in exploring the interplay between kinase signaling and extracellular matrix remodeling in GBM.
