GP100 vs SP101 - Ruger Forum
2019年9月25日 · I believe you will enjoy range trips more with a softer shooting gun. I've got a SP101 Model 5720 2 1/4" 357(26 oz) for CC and a GP100 6 shot 4.2" 357(40 oz). The GP is more enjoyable for me at the range especially with 357s. You're probably aware some 7 shot GP100 owners have had some issues. I'm not sure if that relates to new ones.
Security Six vs. GP100 - Ruger Forum
2015年7月29日 · The GP100 was not intended to replace the Security-Six, rather it was to provide another option, much like S&W did with their K and L frame DA revolvers. Production started in 1986 with the GP100, however Security-Six production continued until 1988 when sales finally dropped to a point where they were no longer profitable.
Redhawk vs GP100 - Ruger Forum
2015年9月12日 · Keep in mind that when the .357 Redhawks were made there was no GP100 yet, just the Security Six, so Ruger was attempting to make them as a "super strong" alternative to the Six series for .357 shooters. In 1986 the GP100 came out, and any need for a .357 Redhawk was pretty much dead.
Which spring kit for GP100? - Ruger Forum
2010年11月11日 · I have wolf springs in my GP100, Single Six, and Super Blackhawk hunter. They all break single action with in an ounce of 2 lbs 9oz. I picked that as my target because my Smith 637 drops at that weight. Couldn't have hunting guns with heavier triggers then my carry gun. I also have never had a light primer strike on any of them with factory or ...
GP100 in .327 Federal Magnum - Ruger Forum
2023年12月14日 · Ruger seems to do runs of 327 FedMag in batches. For a long time, none we're available, then suddenly there were a bunch of SP101s on the auction sites. In fact, I had given up and spent way too much on a S&W 632, when I wanted a GP100 in 327 FedMag and would've taken a SP101s which was briefly plentiful.
GP100 - blued vs stainless - Ruger Forum
2010年11月10日 · GP100 is right on with his assessment of cleaning blue. GP100 .22LR versus S&W 617 - Ruger Forum
2016年12月31日 · The Ruger GP100 .22LR 10 shot revolver finally made its way to Democrat-occupied California, and I had the opportunity to handle one for the first time yesterday. The fit-and-finish appeared to me to be very, very good, and the firearm looked to be heirloom quality.

Security Six vs GP100 - Ruger Forum
2016年12月29日 · When the GP100 was designed, it used many of the excellent Security-Six designs plus it went to a 3-point cylinder lock-up with an excellent cylinder retention. The trigger/hammer system was changed to two coil springs and got away from the old …
Scoping a GP100 Advice? - Ruger Forum
2014年6月24日 · Scoping a GP100 – Advice? I’m considering scoping my GP100. Currently, I use my Gp100 as a range and hiking revolver. The scope would mostly be to help my eyes out a bit. Oddly enough, my eyes just aren’t as “eagle-eyed” as they were yesterday. I have never owned a scoped handgun and don’t know where to start.
