2018年8月6日 · I purchased this orange fungia plate about 3 weeks ago at my lfs. It had a bad spot on it when I purchased it, but the bad spot was just black and I assumed I could give it time to heal. I got home and dipped, acclimated it, and threw it into my display. It has since lost all color in that spot and it is just skeleton.

2021年10月9日 · Hmmm. Hard to say. I have noticed that Fungia do not like fluctuation in phosphates. The remaining tissue looks healthy, but the outlook on this coral is questionable. When they deteriorate, it's either extremely rapid or very slow. If it does recover, it will take a while. Keep it in low flow and maybe try directly feeding amino soaked food.

2016年9月7日 · I recently got this bright orange/yellow fungia and I have no idea what it was. Since it is kind of bright I search "Aussie orange fungia" and boom found some that looks almost identical. Last picture is mine and I cannot capture the color with cell phone picture. Anyway, mine seems to have longer tentacles. Not sure they are the same.

2013年11月27日 · PS, most of the solitary plate corals in the reef aquarium hobby are not actually Fungia, but mostly Cycloseris. There are also other species of solitary plate corals that are mistaken for Fungia, such as Lithophyllon (concinna, repanda, spinifer, scabra), Heliofungia fralinae, Pleuractis granulosa, and Cantharellus.
