Fu Hao (traditional Chinese: 婦好; simplified Chinese: 妇好; pinyin: Fù Hǎo) [a] died c. 1200 BC, posthumous temple name Mu Xin (母辛), was one of the many wives of King Wu Ding of the Shang dynasty and also served as a military general and high priestess. [2]

Lady Fu Hao (or Fu Zi) of the Shang Dynasty was the first documented female marshal in the history of China and the queen of King Wu Ding (? — 1192 BC). Around 10,000 pieces of oracle bone inscriptions were excavated in Shang's capital Yin, and about 200 were about Lady Fu Hao.

Based on the inscriptions on the ritual bronze and on the oracle bones, a name has been suggested and is now believed by most as the distinct occupant: Fu Hao, or Lady Hao.
