2016年8月19日 · Talking about gluing PVC, just finished a job where the home owner had his own trenching done, about 200ft., installed PVC Conduit in 10ft sections and glued after he installed the wire in the conduit sections. I was a bit nervous about the glue possibly damaging the wire.

2019年6月25日 · "90% of the time when Carflex (LFNC) switches over from a LFNC to a PVC or Fiberglass conduit it will terminate into a junction box. LFNC Fittings has to be used with LFNC per the NEC. It is allowed to use a LFNC Fitting with a PVC Female Fitting. The PVC fitting would solvent cement to the PVC conduit and the LFNC fitting would screw into it."

2018年4月19日 · Changing from non-matalic to metalic raceway, yes in theory the conduit should be bonded on both ends. Then I get all the flash backs about underground PVC to a ridgid 90 and vertical with PVC. Or a PVC stubbed out of the ground or floor to EMT. Perhaps one day a fitting manufacture will make a transition coupling that has a spot to lay in the EG.

2008年12月7日 · yeah nap , we had a good man feeding. and jeff i think you id'ed the problem EXACTLY. them slab guys ran the tube around , up and down, and put a " goose-neck at the stub up. i was told we used smurf because it was faster than PVC pipe. putting the string in and pulling the wire took 4 hrs. oh i forgot, the string was a bitch to get in too.

2016年7月29日 · Typical flex connectors have the same pipe thread as the flex size, 2" flex will have 2"male pipe thread. Not sure you will find any different. 2" pipe thread normally requires a 2 9/16" hole. A 1.5" KO will fit 1 1/4" pipe thread. Best of luck.

2024年8月31日 · Say I start with a 1" diameter spot on the pipe. If you put weight on the pipe some of the pressure goes towards bowing down the center of the pipe and making it collapse. But in doing so it's also going to bow outward pressing against the soil surrounding it. In fact the pipe will be much stronger than the same test applied sitting on a bench.
