Faido (Italian: [faˈiːdo]; Ticinese: Faid) is the capital of the district of Leventina in the Italian -speaking canton of Ticino in southern Switzerland. On 29 January 2006, Faido grew by incorporating the villages of Chiggiogna, Rossura, and Calonico.
