I just find the FK1 to be a better fit to my hand; yet, somehow, I find that I carry the FK2 more frequently. (No great mystery, really - it's the tricolor rag micarta.) The DEK1 could probably knock both off my belt.

The BFK seems well suited to more brutish work and might serve that niche in between the FK2 and the HDFK rather well - if one were to be seeking that, of course.

Jan 30, 2021 · My vote would also be for a CPK FK2 but it seems that it would be to large of a knife for what you're looking for. BRKs are still pretty good and they have a wide variety of designs so they've got another vote from me. I'd go for the 3V Fox River. I haven't tried their convex scandi but the regular convex knives work very well.
