It has been 6+ month since FFXVI release, Let's talk about FFXVII
2024年2月9日 · great beggining to a thread! more seriously tho, i am 100% confident that switch 2 will play a huge factor into it. either because they will focus more into it, or because it's version will be of prime importance, idk. but SE would be crazy to not put FF games in switch 2 imo, and they know it. its a perfect time to make a revival of the franchise (single player atleast) in Japan
When will the next Final Fantasy MMO release? FFXVII? FFXVIII?
2020年10月9日 · Final Fantasy XIV is 10 years old now. FFXI was replaced merely 8 years into its life. One could say FFXIV's life as it stands truly began in 2013 with ARR -> 8 years would make it 2021 However FFXIV has turned into a monster that is quite possibly the most popular MMO on the market today...
Will Part 3 and XVII be multiplatform at launch? - ResetEra
2024年12月14日 · Squeenix's relative disappointment in XVI and Rebirth's sales and announced intentions for more multiplatform releases make it pretty obvious. XVII will be at minimum Playstation/PC at launch and, like a lot of people have already said, Remake Part 3 will also be unless there was any sort of deal already struck.
Will Part 3 and XVII be multiplatform at launch? - ResetEra
2024年12月13日 · What do you think that SE's release plan will be for future FF titles? Personally, I still think Part 3 is locked in for exclusivity atleast for 6 months, but XVII will most likely be multiplatform at launch. Reminder that this can mean a Switch 2 version, or Xbox lol, at launch too, not just a PC one (in addition to PS of course)

2023年12月19日 · Yup. We are now in a moment where we can see a bit more clearly the "next generation" of prominent FF figures (Hamaguchi, Ishikawa, Takai, Soken, I don't know if we count YoshiP or not), so I hope Square continues to push in that direction.
Would you like for Final Fantasy XVII to be done by CBU3?
2023年6月30日 · I think my preferred order for development of XVII would be: 1) Grand Maestro Hiroyuki Itou returning for one last masterpiece, with whatever team he sees fit to pick. 2) CBU3 taking a second crack at a single player Final Fantasy, taking on board the chief criticisms of XVI (RPG systems, exploration, party members). 2a) - I'd particularly like ...

2024年3月8日 · I think the FFVII remakes are kind of covering the sci-fi things for the time being, though of course FF has often blended elements of both. I think there's a decent chance FF XVII is going to be part of a big 40th anniversary push for FF (announced during the 40th anniversary year, if not released), so I think they're likely to go for a very ...
FFXVI has apparently sold 3.5 million copies (could be old …
2025年3月13日 · Coming from the old days its still weird to see a mainline FF game getting price slashed outside of some Platinum/Greatest Hits re-release. But this game went from 70€ new to 20€ within a couple months. Dont think this game is gonna have legs, people are already over it despite the DLC and PC release.

2023年6月30日 · Would you like for Final Fantasy XVII to be done by CBU3? ... hell no.
Would you like for Final Fantasy XVII to be done by CBU3?
2023年6月30日 · I like CBU3's output a lot. But with CBU3 having frequent-enough releases with FF14 expansions and patches, I rather have two or three teams cycling through big FF releases to avoid Square Enix's FF output from getting too samey. It's not just the re-contextualized world ideas/mechanics that make FF16 feel like a single player FF14.
