These planes are unique that they don’t overheat much more with WEP than without, airspeed makes a big difference in cooling. MEC settings let plane WEP mostly without overheating.

2024年5月21日 · Especially when in the context of adding them specifically for the F4U-1C Corsair variant. I have never seen an F4U-1C report, manual or photo of a Corsair equipping 2 x more 20mm AN/M2 cannons and the standard 4 x 20mm cannons they already have. Also, 2,350 for the amount of ammo for a 6 x 20mm loadout is just absurd.

Reasoning: I believe this Corsair is significantly overtiered, as it shares the same 3.0 airframe as the F4U-1A (USMC) and F4U-1D, along with the same powerplant—not the more powerful F4U-4. While its cannons and dive speed are impressive, gaining altitude is necessary for effective boom-and-zoom tactics.

2023年9月26日 · F4U-1C 4.7-> 4.0 or below (performance) - That thing has less performance than the 2.7 Corsair (that could be 3.7) in every way…BUT has cracked guns with 924 ammo that deletes enemies in headons, so that’s why we are here I guess.
