Aug 24, 2010 · The F-86 climbed out at a shallow angle and required but a few clicks of down trim on the elevator axis for hands off flight. Speed was adequate but I felt safest keeping the throttle in the 80-100% range. My entry into the landing pattern was large and gradual and the F-86 slid down the glide slope smoothly as I slowly eased the power back.

The first EDF model I ever saw in person that flew with authority was Greg Moore's hotwired EPS foam Glockner F-86 with a Wemotec Midifan on brushless and nicads at the Arizona Jet Rally in 1998 or so (have to look at my photos maybe it was 2001 or 02). I posted the video on youtube a few years ago of the whole rally.

I have e-mailed Sierra Giant for a cost estimate on their gear and have not heard back from them. I have also looked at using Dreamworksrc, Robart and most recently JP Hobby. I contacted Florent at JP hobby in France and he provided a cost estimate.
