The Nazim Hikmet Academy Choir was founded by its conductor, Erdem Nusret Karakas in 2011. The choir's aim is to break out of the routines of the music market and provide an alternative to those who desire to discover the musical diversity and richness created by composers from different countries, languages, styles and eras.

KoroSu was founded by its conductor Erdem Nusret Karakaş in 2016 as an amateur polyphonic girls’ choir. The choir has a repertoire with a wide spectrum that includes folk, pop, jazz and musical arrangements as well as sacred, classical music and children’s songs.
