Finally bought a bucket of Howard Leigh plugs, about $2 each and NRR of 30. Easy insert, comfortable for hours and easy cleanup. Give ‘em atry.

You can get better protection by putting ear muffs over the foam plugs. Or, go to an audiologist. That's the best way to get the best products. But it's also the most expensive choice.

Use a good comfortable foam ear plug (those "Quiet please" plugs you get a walmart are just fine, but the softer "3M foam Disposable Earplugs" or "Uline Bell Earplugs" work good too and are more comfortable). and then put a set of the thin profile DRN electronic ear muffs over them, like the "Walkers Razor Series" ear muffs.

2023年4月7日 · The plugs are great as they have two mechanisms to hold them in place and if I get them jammed into the ear canal deep enough, they will not come out even in sweaty running/gunning for several hours. The raptor is interesting and it does work but only if the transmitter pads have good contact with your cheekbone. .

2013年4月21日 · I tried the DIY plugs more than once. Big waste of money in my opinion. The problem with them is, you can't get the silicone into your ear canal good enough to make a proper fitting and sealing ear plug. I have a set made my Jerry Bryant(Silent Treatment) and they are the best ones I have had yet.

2014年5月23日 · The Peltor products are great, if you have the tactical in ear plugs make sure you have the tips that fit you best. 3M has a ear fit system that can determine how effective the ear plug is. The ones I thought I liked because they were cool and had a good rating turned out not to work in my left ear. Changing the style increased my protection 10x.

2024年11月27日 · Fleet Farm has epoxy self install ear buds. Conforms to your ear. $18. Wash and dry ears. Split into two part epoxy in half to make 4 halves. mix to opposite pieces for exactly 30 seconds and press into one ear for 10 minutes. Carefully remove and do the other ear. Sit still and do not eat, chew or talk while in your ear. Allow to cure for one day.

2020年2月20日 · Thanks for the tip! (haha) Seriously though, that was going to be my next question; which tips to use. I don't like silicon plugs and the foam plugs they come with are sort of bulky. I had some shaped foam tips from a set of Beretta Off-Shot earbuds and they fit the Otto earbuds just the same.

2013年4月30日 · stop now !! insta-mold era plugs are good for 3 years at best if thy are made right the human body keeps changing your nose and ears change about every 3 years just get new ones made do not take any chances sticking industrial glues or repair silicone in you ear's if you are in the north east i can make you a new pair if not call e.a.r. in bolder co.
