EMG SA-X, anyone? - The Gear Page
2014年11月9日 · Can't speak on the SA's specifically, but the I've recently used the 81X, 85X, and 60X and man they are pretty good. The X series takes away all the bad things in the regular series and makes them pleasing to those who are on the fence about actives and prefer passives. I can only imagine the X singles would be improved as well.
EMG SA Pickup's - My new favorite! | The Gear Page
2014年8月7日 · In my experience, the EMG SA's have the perfect chemistry with my particular Strat. I've never had so much clarity before! The EMG SA's retain all of the dynamics and naturality of my guitar, but I also get this different sort of kick at the same time. This added kick is something I've been searching for endlessly in passive pickups.
EMG Picksups - SA Set compared to SV Set? | The Gear Page
2014年7月12日 · On the EMG website, the SAX Set only shows/says one volume and one tone control are included. It appears the SAX Set only uses one master tone control for all three pickups. But for the SA Set, it shows one volume and two tone controls and even says that two tone controls are included.
I forgot how much I liked EMG SA pickups - The Gear Page
2020年7月2日 · I had a bunch of guitar parts from many years of upgrading and swapping out hardware and from a few guitar builds s I decided to put together a couple of guitars. In one strat style guitar I put a pickguard that had a set of EMG SA pickups with the SPC control (old soldered style before the quick connect stuff, probably 90s).
EMG S and SA question. - The Gear Page
2018年7月28日 · I have SA's in the mid/neck position of my strat. They sound great, have more output than your typical passive single coils but thats just a general observation from my experience. I have the EMG boost circuit so i usually leave that cranked and get some awesome pushed tones from them. Great bluesy sounds.
EMG S pickups - The Gear Page
2017年7月21日 · Gilmour played an SA setup for quite a while and even has his own signature set that comes with a mid-boost and frequency extender. I have a guitar with the updated version, the SA-X. Compared to the regular SA set, the X version is more full and more natural sounding. Closer to a traditional strat when running 18V.
Fernandes Sustainer FSK-401 with EMG SA (single coil)
2021年6月19日 · Top notch work, it works PERFECTLY, with all pickups, guitar sound unchanged (if anything the neck EMG moved down sounds better as it’s bit more clear), and lots added to it. So yes, to reply to my original question, if you find someone wishing to spend the time, Sustainer works on active single coil EMG SA and the DG20 kit dual boosters.
Which EMG HSS set for me? - The Gear Page
2021年7月25日 · Honestly, to me the SA sounds more "Strat" than the S. My favourite EMG set is the SA/SA/89 for their versatility and clarity. With that said, both the SAV, the SLV and especially the SV are more traditionally Stratty than either the S or the SA.
EMG David Gilmour Stratocaster Loaded Pickguard - The Gear Page
2022年9月19日 · The EMG SA's are definitely a unique tone, nothing at all like standard passive Strat pickups. I about wouldn't be a fire out with the SPC control. But if you have SAs and lament the lack of chime, the EXG is a true magic bullet IMHO. The EXG must be one of the most underrated tone tools in guitardom, at least with EMG SAs.
EMG Pickups are misunderstood - The Gear Page
2022年3月25日 · I am having a Strat with EMG SA pickups and I really like it. Especially when I play with a band, it just sits right in the mix somewhat better than most other guitars and with the SPC one can really nicely taylor the sound.
