The Messerschmitt Bf 108 Taifun (English: "Typhoon") is a single-engine sport and touring aircraft designed and produced by the German aircraft manufacturer Bayerische Flugzeugwerke (BFW). It was the first aircraft of its size to feature all-metal stressed skin construction.

The Bf 108 was a 4-seat tourer which incorporated a half-shell monocoque fuselage, full-span wing control surfaces, leading edge slats, and other features which later defined Germany’s most infamous war-time fighter. The Bf 108 performed well in competitions and demonstrations, becoming a fast-favorite across Europe.

This Bf-108 is thought proably to be DH-DE that belonged to Fighter Pilot School 3 in Stolp-Reitz (today Słupsk-Redzikowo on the west Polish Baltic coast). However, DA-DE, DR-DE or DH-BE are also possible as a definitive assignment is not possible without the missing construction plate.
