My Hero Academia Alternate Universe's (AU's) are various what-if changes to the BNHA universe. In order to be classified under this category an AU most either have all or some of the MHA characters switch roles and/or personalities with another character character within the series ( e.g. Izuku swaps personalities with Bakugou).

Deku is abandoned because of his vampire quirk, and then taken in by Overhaul himself. Deku never makes it into UA. He never gained a quirk. What does he do? A pesky job that barely pays. MHA Alternate Universes (AUs) are various what-if changes/scenarios to the Original Universe of My Hero Academia. AU categories are used to differentiate AUs and to avoid confusion between AUs (categories are not AUs themselves). An AU can fit under multiple categories at once.
