The Special Operations Division (SOD) is the backbone of the DEA’s investigative coordination efforts through its support of multi-jurisdiction, multi-nation, and multi-agency wire intercept investigations. There are approximately 500 personnel stationed at SOD, including representatives from 31 agencies.
