In the episode, the alien time traveller the Ninth Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) and his travelling companion Rose Tyler (Billie Piper) encounter the bunker's only living exhibit: a Dalek, which breaks loose and attempts to exterminate everyone in the bunker after repairing itself.

However, the Doctor is horrified to find out that the creature is a member of a race he thought was destroyed: a Dalek. The Doctor's TARDIS is drawn off course by a signal and materialises underground in a bunker located in Utah in the year 2012.

The episode is set in Utah in the year 2012, in the underground bunker owned by Henry van Statten, a rich collector of alien artifacts. The Doctor encounters his one living exhibit: a creature called "the Metaltron", which the Doctor is horrified to discover is a surviving Dalek.

At least one Berserker Dalek was part of the Daleks' attack on Sunspire which wiped out most of the population. One became trapped in a bunker containing the natives’ gene bank and was left there for centuries, attacking the walls of the facility as it became increasingly insane.

Supplied with prisoners taken in Dalek raids on old Federation outposts, the Dalek task force was ordered to search for the Bunker. Un-noticed by the Daleks, a Movellan space ship had followed them.

2005年4月30日 · In this episode, the Doctor and his companion, Rose land in an underground bunker near Salt lake city in Utah, where they encounter a captive and injured Dalek. Taking pity on the Dalek, Rose touches it at which point the Dalek extracts her DNA and revives itself. The Dalek is unable to exterminate Rose, and even spares others.
