There is no single correct way of doing it - though of course if you are learning a particular style, you should arguably follow that style's conventions, but in practice most writers develop their own individual style that deviates to a greater or lesser extent from what they were originally taught.

The typical handwriting style taught in UK schools joins up lower-case letters but the upper case letters are in a "printed" style without the pointless complications in this chart. I would class G I J Q and Z in the chart as "unreadable" and everything except C K P and R as "pretentious".

Solution 1: dutchcal = very calligraphic letters. Add this line to the preamble: \usepackage{dutchcal} % \mathcal: also small letters. \mathbcal = bold ones. 2016年8月24日 · The OP's chart is only one version of "cursive writing." Many of the letter forms are different form the ones I learned in school in the UK - and in the version I learned, upper case letters were never linked to the following lower case letters.

You can also use the mathrsfs package (put \usepackage{mathrsfs} in your preamble), and its command \mathscr (e.g. $\mathscr{L}$ should give you what you want) to get more script-like, curvy letters. Share
