Cotesia - Wikipedia
Cotesia is a genus of braconid wasps first described by Peter Cameron in 1891. Some species parasitize caterpillars of species considered pests, and are used as biocontrol agents. Cotesia congregata parasitizes the tomato and the tobacco hornworms. C. glomerata and C. rubecula feed on the cabbage white and other white butterfly caterpillars.

Cotesia glomerata - Cornell University
Cotesia glomerata was introduced to North America in 1883 for the control of the imported cabbageworm on cole crops and has become a major mortality factor of cabbageworm. Cotesia adults are small (about 7 mm), dark wasps and resemble flying ants or tiny flies.

Cotesia sesamiae is a parasitoid of lepidopteran stem borers in sub-Saharan Africa. In Kenya, the host community on maize and sorghum differs between western highlands, where the endemic noctuid B. fusca dominates, and the eastern lowlands where the invasive crambid C. partellus and the endemic noctuid S. calamistis dominate.
