Condenser or Condensor? - Cakewalk Forums
2009年6月28日 · In North America we stopped calling capacitors "condensers" long ago, while in the UK "condenser" remained popular. Of course, I'm referring to the electronic components, not microphones. Curiously, we still use the older term "condenser" when referring to variable-capacitance microphones.
Latency problems (recording delay) with USB condensor mic?
2011年8月2日 · You may need to get an interface so you can use direct monitorring, then latency is no problem at all for audio tracking. There are many and some of them used are cheap. Like the US-122 MkII and the Line6 toneport.... and sorry to say it but there are some really decent large diaphgram condenser mics, like MXL, that are prety cheap too.
How do you position your condenser mic for vocals?
2005年2月10日 · with a condenser you can obviously get further away if room sound permits, but in my case it does not, so usually 4-12" depending on volume. i keep the pop filter about 4" away from the mic (seems to help having an air gap) and i use the pop filter as a guide for stage singing as mike said and i back off if i'm going to belt it out.
Bass rolloff switch on condenser mics... necessary ... - Cakewalk …
2011年8月2日 · A lot of condenser mics have a bass rolloff switch, which basically just cuts some of the lower frequencies. In other words, should I only be looking for condenser mics with this feature if I will be using it for vocals?

When to use condenser microphone's low cut switch
2011年3月5日 · This time, I shall be using a Tascam DP 24 portable recorder with 2 condenser mics pointing inside the piano lid - recording it clean (merge the audio with the video later). I'm thinking of placing the mic closer for better stereo imaging and to reduce audience noise - not sure if it's good idea till I test it out.
Condenser mic not working with Audient iD22 - Cakewalk Forums
2007年5月1日 · Condenser mic not working with Audient iD22 I can't get any signal through my iD22 from an Audio Technica AT4033SE connected to either of the two XLR mic inputs. Flicking the phantom power switch on or off makes the meters move momentarily, but otherwise I get not even a faint signal from the mic even with the input level turned up full.
Sterling Audio ST66 Condenser Mic = Groove Tubes GT66
2004年4月15日 · I was told by Guitar Center that the Sterling Audio ST66 Condenser Mic is equivalent to the Groove Tubes GT66 and that the mics are made by the same Mfr (Aspen Pittman). I actually spoke to a couple of the guys that work at Groove Tubes whom I know personally and got the rundown on the GC branded "Sterling Audio" mics.
What is the "LOW CUT" and "PAD" used for on a mic?
2008年6月20日 · Ah, my first mic was an electret condenser, curtesy of SOny. It was a long time ago (c. 1978)- I can't remember what it sounded like. My old tascam 4 track reel to reel recordings aren't, well that good. I lost the mic, but found the little-rubber like case. Yea, one of the AT mics, as I recall, are an electret.

2007年5月24日 · Hey Cakewalkers, I'm considering buying a Marshall AS100D and playing through condenser mics for both vocal and instrument. Trouble is that the Amp's phantom power supply only puts in 15v. I was hoping that it would be 48v. Does anyone have this amp so that they can let me know what condenser mic...
