I have assumed for a while that my oily, acne prone skin is due to a damaged moisture barrier, or just generally dry skin (or dehydrated skin, I get confused about these two). To combat this I've tried using many different CeraVe products to try and prevent my skin from drying out, but they all seem to make me break out.

I've used cerave moisturising lotion for 7 years and it's made the eczema I developed due to another product (including eyelid eczema) spread more and get worse.

2023年4月23日 · About a week ago, I decided to mix it up a bit. I started using CeraVe foaming facial cleaner (normal to oily skin) and CeraVe moisturizer in the tub every morning and evening. I continue to use my sunscreen and pimple patches. Over the past week, my acne went from mild to moderate to really bad.

2021年8月16日 · I am noticing less acne every day. Nothing else was working, and my breakouts were getting worse and more painful. Surprisingly, my moisture barrier seems to be repairing itself even with my using this CeraVe BP cleanser, so I recommend it as well.

2023年1月20日 · Is the Cerave Acne Control Cleaner or the SA Renewing cleaner better? I’m planning on using this either right after I wake up or right before I sleep. During those 2 times my skin is usually dry. In the morning my pillowcase probably absorbs all my skins oils, and at night it’s when I come home from swim practice (face dry due to pool water).
