
Gluing Cedar - FineWoodworking
I have tried more expensive pva type glues (titebond and Lee valley glue) and the problem is much worse. I regularly glue up blocks of White pine, Mahogany, Sapele, and Poplar, the Cedar is the only wood I have had a problem with. The Cedar boards are used in an industrial process that glue colour does not matter.

2003年7月17日 · Port Orford Cedar, if that's what you have, is a very nice cabinet-grade wood. That's good stuff, you're lucky if that's what you have. Can't remember if that one's a true cedar (Help, Jon!). But the soft wood with the aromatic smell that's commonly sold at lumber yards as "cedar" is good for outdoor furniture. It is surprisingly strong.
