The tribochemical studies by XPS revealed that some CaS decomposed during sliding so that FeS and FeSO 4 were produced. No such decomposition was found in the case of CaF 2.

The spatially resolved observation of line intensities as well as line shifts revealed an effective metallization and oxidation of the surface. 2011年2月10日 · The initial stages of MBE growth of PbSe on CaF 2 /Si (111) were studied by in situ XPS. The surface reaction between CaF 2 and elemental Se is also studied as a comparison. Ca 2 p, F 1 s, Pb 4 f and Se 3 d peaks all shift to lower binding energies (1.2 - 1.6 eV) with increasing PbSe coverage.
