2023年8月19日 · AR does give SECARMY authority to play with the timeline based on the needs of the Army. Also, 1LT to CPT promotion has a board compared to the promotion from 2LT to 1LT, which is automatic (well you could argue CPT promotion is also automatic since almost everyone passes the board though), and meeting two-year TIG requirement only makes me ...
1LTs getting promoted to CPT early (MILPER 23-394) : r/army
2023年9月29日 · I've heard anecdotally that the Army is hemorrhaging officers. A personal aside for the 1LTs and CPTs here, don't let anyone tell you that once you're a CPT (P) you're OERs don't matter, i.e. the SR giving you an HQ because you're promotable and he needs them for others. I was always told those were throw-away OERs, but now I know they are not.

2023年4月6日 · In my understanding with the reserve components, an officer needs to meet time TIS and TIG just like AD officers, AND needs to be in a billet for that next authorized rank. I.e if you're in a 1LT billet and there are no vacant CPT billets, you can't promote. This is partially why 70B RC promotions are so bad and they're like at 600% overstrength.

Why CPTs get non select for MAJ? : r/army - Reddit
Don’t be a terrible CPT. My ex-wife was a terrible CPT and got passed over x3 for MAJ and left the Army. She wasn’t terrible because she didn’t know her job…she was terrible because she treated people like shit and was overly aggressive. She’d always say “I don’t understand why you get all these MQs, and I cant get one”.
