Even though 3D printing slicers have come a long way over the years with crazy fast slicing times and features like organic supports, dynamic extrusion width, and hundreds of different parameters we can play around with, they still work with the same principle, and this is, cutting a part into 2D layers and filling these layers with print moves.
Threaded Inserts for 3D Prints - Cheap VS Expensive - CNC Kitchen
2019年12月7日 · If we compare prices there is rather a difference there. The cheap ones sell for a good 3 bucks for 100 which makes them 3 cents each. The Ruthex ones cost 8.99€ for 50 which is 18 cents a piece and the ones similar to last time sell for 12.45€ for 50 which is 25 cents apiece!
Comparing PLA, PETG & ASA - feat. PRUSAMENT — CNC Kitchen
2020年2月3日 · A kilo of Prusament PLA sells for €25, PETG and ASA sell for €30 though the ASA spool only contains 850g. The reason for that is probably not because they are greedy but ASA has a density 15% lower than the other so 1kg of material just wouldn’t fit on a spool but since all spools still contain around 330m of filament you can still print the same amount.

Which is the strongest 3D printing Extruder? — CNC Kitchen
2023年3月19日 · My first idea was to directly do all of these tests on my highly modified Ender-3 rig with the tool plate change system from WhamBam but the extrusion forces were so high that they just deformed everything and lead me to quickly design this wooden rig that I routed out on my Mekanika EVO CNC router.
Brick Layers - Make 3D prints stronger! — CNC Kitchen
2024年2月18日 · Even though 3D printing slicers have come a long way over the years with crazy fast slicing times and features like organic supports, dynamic extrusion width, and hundreds of different parameters we can play around with, they still work with the same principle, and this is, cutting a part into 2D la
How to use our Threaded-Insert Removal Tool — CNC Kitchen
2025年1月6日 · Heat-set inserts aren’t just oddly satisfying to install—they’re also incredibly useful, adding value to your 3D-printed parts. These tiny pieces of metal provide durable threads in plastic prints, creating a strong, reusable connection that elevates the quality and appearance of your projects. But
Better performing 3D prints with annealing, but... - Part 1: PLA
2019年9月25日 · I don’t really know if I want to call annealing of PLA busted at this point. Well, this process definitely improves the thermal resistance of the materials significantly but in terms of mechanical properties the gain of around 10% is in my opinion only very small and I have definitely not seen anything in terms fusing the layers together, I’m sorry to give this verdict.
The effect of Extrusion Width on Strength and Quality of ... - CNC …
2019年10月19日 · Most of us probably change the layer height we print with quite a bit and adjust it depending on if we want something fast or nice. A parameter that I don’t see many adjust is the extrusion width the slicer uses. And at this point I’d be really interested if you ever touched it and why. Let me know
Helicoils, Threaded Insets and Embedded Nuts in 3D Prints - CNC …
2020年5月30日 · Here, I was able to remove the bolt after the test. Next came the nut in the side pocket. I expected quite a lot, but I wasn’t able to load it more than 2Nm.
