2017年5月17日 · For me i like the thicker braid for casting and flexibility in the lines i can fish. Thicker braid casts much easier on the conventional reel, good luck picking out a backlash in 20lb spectra! Also having heavier braid like 50-65 makes it so i can fish from 25-50lb top shots on the reel. Another benefit of braid is its ability to cut through kelp.

2016年1月25日 · Braid adds strength, quicker hooksets, and longer casts but has problems with tip-wrap and no stretch on those extremely hot fish. The best thing I could recommend is to give a high quality braid a chance, and see what you personally think. Personally I love Berkley's Tracer braid for just about everything.

2016年7月26日 · Modified Albright is the best I have found to join braid to fluro. Much easier to tie than the double uni IMO. Also, you can usually get away with straight braid for many applications on baitcast gear. With finesse applications on spinning, that is where I'll use a 15lb braid and 6 or 8lb fluoro leader.

2022年10月23日 · Update on spincast reels in general and braid: Some spincast reels do not cast light lures using braid due to braid's slightly coarser texture and especially when the cap's line exit hole is small. In that case, fluorocarbon or mono work far better casting 1/16 oz or heavier lures a longer distance without linr hanging up inside the cap.

2021年1月7日 · I use moss green or blue braid. I think it’s kinda personal preference. As for leader.. I use to use 10lb maxima ultra green exclusively. I switched to fluorocarbon a few years ago and use 3 different leader strengths 8,10,12lb last year my buddy and I had a 6 fish day all on 8lb fluoro after not touching a thing all morning with 10.
