Beneficial ownership information is information about the entity, its beneficial owners, and in certain cases its company applicants. Beneficial ownership information is reported to FinCEN through Beneficial Ownership Information Reports (BOIRs).
Collect the required information from beneficial owners and company applicants (if applicable): each individual’s name, date of birth, address, a unique identifying number from an acceptable identification document, and the name of the issuing jurisdiction of that identification document.
