Banana is slightly heavier with a 59g operating force and has a shorter travel distance of 3.4mm (this is from the specs where you would find if the switches are good for gaming and typing). I have the Keychron K Pro Banana switches which feels and type pretty good.

You can follow the progress at [Banana BPI-R4] Wifi7 status - For Developers - OpenWrt Forum. The official MTK 4.0 SDK firmware is pretty old at this time and likely will never be updated.
