The BSA A10 series was a range of 646 cc (39.4 cu in) air-cooled parallel twin motorcycles designed by Bert Hopwood and produced by Birmingham Small Arms Company at Small Heath, Birmingham from 1950 to 1963. The series was succeeded by the A65 unit construction models.

2021年7月14日 · 1962 bsa a10 – nearing end of non-unit construction In 1962 BSA was in the middle of a major retooling to begin production of the new A50 (500) and A65 (650) unit-construction twins, that were meant to replace the highly successful non-unit twins the 500cc A7 and the 650cc A10 .

Launched in October 1949, the A10 Golden Flash was a new post-war design, with most of the difference to the A7 being in the engine. Increased to 650 cc (40 cu in), it encompassed revised castings for the cylinder head and rocker box, and a cast-in carburettor manifold.

The BSA A10 greatly contributed to the rise of the "parallel twin" engine layout which was to dominate British design throughout the 1950s, 60s and into the 70s. Designed by BSA chief designer Herbert Perkins, with former Triumph designer Val Page who had developed the first parallel 650cc twin also contributing.
