unnatrl, Looked through the '95 ETM and saw where the cluster fed the DME the Vehicle Speed Signal. Looked through the '96 and '97 ETM (FWIW, X20 and instrument cluster pinouts are exactly the same for '96-'97), appears BMW deleted the vehicle speed signal to the DME from the instrument cluster hence pin #14 being empty starting in '96.

2023年6月20日 · isnt x20 the big round one under the hood? i think this spyderwebs everywhere im unsure of e36 etm's but working on older bmw's having every single different etm for every year of production was the only way things seemed fully documented. some pdf's are missing pages. i cant get my etm/tis to work on new computers, but maybe someone has this sorted i havent looked in years.

2013年3月23日 · Shell is a 1999 318is. All EWS is bypassed (unplugged ignition ring, EWS box removed, wires 1-3 bridged, EWS green wire for main X20 snipped), yet i don't get a ground to my fuel pump relay. in the X20, one of the pins was in a different place between the 318 body harness plug to the m50 engine harness. Pin no.13 if memory serves correctly!
