2024年10月19日 · Anyway, I absolutely love the RT. My 2018 is amazing and handles great. I never even ride the GS anymore. I test rode the 2024 RT today at the BMWNA demo day at the local dealer today., I assumed I would be blown away and make a foolish mistake and buy one. While the bike is outstanding, the engine performance didn't blow me away.

2024年11月4日 · 2017/2018, are the best "Wethead" years (i.e. 2014-2018 BMW RT/GS model's are informally called Wetheads, 2005-2009 Hexheads, 2010-2013 Camheads, and 2019-present Shiftcams", fyi). Manual's can still be found for Wetheads on Ebay, or at least, OEM copies, since BMW won't sell them anymore, and hasn't since about 2019-2020.

2016年1月1日 · You have a, older RT so perhaps you are not aware that all of the above -- and more -- are on the wethead RTs. I have a 2015 RT and a 2015 R1200R. The RS is just an R with more of a fairing so they are very similar. I only use the R for local riding when storage and weather protection are not needed. The RT is a much more complete motorcycle.

2016年2月13日 · For BMW RT motorcycles, the original "Oilhead," the R1100, became the R1150. The 1150 got "whizzy" brakes and a larger headlight. The Hexhead became the Camhead, with all new engine valve gear and changes to handlebar controls. The Wethead is still in its original configuration.
