The e46 is notorious for its cooling system problems, leaking oil, and apparently subframe issues but I think some may debate that. People hate bimmers because they are probably more expensive to take to a shop.

2023年7月27日 · I don't think the E46 is particularly problematic when it comes to rust compared to your typical 20+ year old car. Main trouble spots are all the rubber and plastic bits in the cooling system and around the intake manifold (cracked rubber hoses and stuff causing vacuum leaks), and old leaky valve cover gasket.

2021年8月17日 · I've had e92 M3 seats retrofitted into my early E46 coupe (323ci). Everything works power, heat, adjustable bolsters and lumbar. Only thing is the heated seats don't get that hot. My heated seat buttons only have the high low setting I'm wondering if switching for the later heated seat buttons with high medium low setting is plug and Play?
