It was reclassified Class SW-1 in 1965 and transferred to Baltimore & Ohio in January 1974. It was lettered as C&O 8419 on September 19, 1974, and returned as B&O 8419 on March 25, 1976.

The historic SW-1 was officially dedicated back to service on May 26, 2016 and today provides motive power for most of the railroad’s tourist trains over the former B&O Landenberg branch in Delaware.
