2019年1月9日 · Yes, as above, just deleting the folder isn't a clean uninstall option and generally causes issue with the uninstaller. In some cases with AV in particular you have to install and uninstaller, but don't know that to be the case with Avast, per se. I would re-install the product and then use the included uninstaller to remove it, if there is one.

2021年9月4日 · I installed Avast antivirus and the install failed, the reinstall failed and it says already installed, cannot uninstall. I have rebooted and tried to install again and again. I used CleanMyMacX and it didn't show it installed, but ran a full clean anyway. I have used Crap Cleaner and uninstaller. I have used REVO uninstaller Free.

2017年6月30日 · So, it can be deleted from the list of boot options in Selective mode, but not actually removed from the system. TBH I am happy enough starting in 'Selective' mode but I'm wary of having this permanently in my system in case it causes issues in the future. Seems like Avast needs an uninstaller uninstaller.

2016年7月14日 · Make sure you use Avast uninstaller (as per post above) and restart your PC afterward. I did figure it out yesterday thanks anyway. Glad you got this resolved, the uninstall utility is useful if the regular uninstall can't function properly.

2014年9月23日 · With my older antivirus software there was a secure uninstaller that uninstalled programs and then wiped any traces left in the registry and other leftover files. I noticed avast has an update center that keeps track of programs that needs to be updated so I am hoping it has an uninstaller also.

When attempting to totally remove a security application. (For example: An anti-virus program.) It is considered best practice to use the applications own recommended uninstaller and/or utility. Using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) to completely uninstall these programs is often insufficient.
