If the payments are going through other funding sources, but not through Amex card, please check with your card issuer if they are blocking the payment. Other possible reason could be that the payment might have been stopped by PayPal's internal security system and you may try after few days or try a different funding source.

It looks like after April1 2021 my Amex is no longer in my card list. It was my default payment card for years and years and now it's gone !! When I try to add it, I get a message 'card declined'. I have sent a message via chat but have yet to hear from Paypal.
